The Institute of Legal Informatics will have its own stand at the accompanying exhibition to the German Conference in Information Technology in the Judiciary which will take place from the 20th to 22nd September.

The first "Summer School IT Law and Legal Informatics" took place at Saarland University’s campus from 21st August to 1st September 2017.

On 19th July 2017, the Institute of Legal Informatics held a "Long evening of Data Protection"  as part of the public lecture series "Practical Application of Data Protection". The speakers were Markus Vehlow, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH and Dr. Claus-Dieter Ulmer, the company-wide data protection officer of the Deutsche Telekom.

Prof. Dr. Christoph Sorge was given the opportunity to highlight the advantages and risks associated with the use of password managers in an interview for "Spiegel Online".  Such password managers are becoming more and more relevant for individuals due to the ever-growing number of user accounts.

On 12th July 2017, the Data Protection Commissioner, Monika Grethel, who leads Saarland’s independent Data Protection Centre, gave a lecture entitled "Beware of the camera – drones, dash cams and video surveillance from a Data Protection perspective" as part of the Institute of Legal Informatics' public lecture series "Practical applications of Data Protection Law".

BMAS: ExamAI – KI Testing & Auditing
