How can data protection be organized in a company? Do employees need training on data privacy? On January 19, Dr. Claus-Dieter Ulmer, Group Data Privacy Officer at Deutsche Telekom Group, gave a compelling presentation, providing over 150 participants with an exciting virtual evening of highly interesting information and important tips relating to data protection in companies.

 

First-hand information about the LL.M. "Information Technology and Law" degree program will be presented on Thursday, January 28. The Institute of Legal Informatics is participating in the nationwide distance learning day, which is being held online for the first time this year. On January 12, Monika Grethel provided information about the work of a data protection supervisory authority in the online public lecture "Data Protection in Practice".  As Saarland's State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, she provided first-hand insight into the current topic of "Data Protection in the Pandemic." More than 130 participants followed the highly topical and interesting presentation.

Dr. Claus-Dieter Ulmer will talk about data protection in companies on Tuesday, January 19, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. The Institute of Legal Informatics has been able to engage the Group Data Privacy Officer of the Deutsche Telekom Group as a guest speaker for its public lecture series "Data Protection in Practice". "The human factor: what good is expensive (security) software if it does not consider the user?" - was the title of Manfred Beth's exciting lecture on January 5th. With this, the Saarbrücken office manager of UIMC Dr. Voßbein GmbH & Co KG opened the public lecture series "Data Protection in Practice," which is being held online for the first time this semester.
