Public discourse on Schrems II
On January 26th, more than 170 participants followed the lecture "Data transfer to third-party countries - a fall from grace? Schrems II and its consequences". Throughout his presentation on the topic of data transfer and access to third-party countries, Prof. Dr. Dieter Kugelmann, State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, evoked a lot of questions from interested audience members.
Professor Borges presents BMWi project at conference
On January 27th, Professor Georg Borges spoke at the international "Conference on Shaping a globally secure Industrie 4.0 Ecosystem". Under the heading "The automation of trust in industrial contractual relationships", he and Benjamin Korth from Fraunhofer IML presented the latest research findings of the "Legal-Testbed Industry 4.0" project, which is now receiving further funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
