Institute at the IRIS 2017
The Institute of Legal Informatics participated very successfully once again in the International Symposion of Legal Informatics (IRIS) which, this year, took place from the 23rd to 25th February in Salzburg.
A doll for children is exposed as an illegal transmitter
In his recent legal opinion published in the legal publication JurPC, Stefan Hessel, a research assistant working for the Institute Director Prof. Dr. Christoph Sorge, has set out why the children’s doll "My friend Cayla" qualifies as an illegal transmitter.
German-Franco Digital Conference
The 2nd German-Franco Digital Conference, which was concluded by speeches from Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel, took place in Berlin on 13. December 2016.

The Institute of Legal Informatics will have its own stand at the »elektrotechnik« electrical engineering trade fair in Dortmund from 15th to 17th February 2017.
Identity Misuse on the Internet
On 12th November 2016, Prof. Borges gave a lecture on the topic of "Identity Misuse on the Internet – liability and evidentiary issues" at the Information Network Law Association’s (IN-Law) Annual Conference in Tokyo.
