Industry 4.0 is increasingly transforming the work environment, including the formation of contracts. But is it possible for machines to form contracts? How legally secure are they? And who is responsible if machines err? On April 14, the Legal-Testbed project will be featured at the Hannover Messe. As part of the panel discussion "Legal-testbed - for the (legally) secure implementation of Industrie 4.0", Professor Georg Borges will discuss the above with project partners.
The project "Legal-testbed Industrie 4.0" is developing a publicly accessible digital testbed that will enable companies to develop and test business processes of their production and logistics systems. In collaboration with their partners, the Institute of Legal Informatics is developing a "virtual sandbox" that will allow companies to check their own infrastructure for its legal resilience in the event of damage and ensure that significant business transactions are legally compliant.
